Wild Bill Spotlight
Wild Bill CD —
6-panel insert, traycard, and label; 10-panel cassette J-card
Wild Bill provided some fine pictures for this project, with special effects, overlays, etc. already done. These were retouched only to make the piece work well in print -- a few of the pictures were so dark in places, the inks would have "mashed out." Also, when the image special effects were added, Bill's hair went to white! Not good, since he's only starting to gray! We retouched the stylized images, and lightened the pics that were going to be a problem -- and the finished product... well, see for yourself. Click for a larger image.

Here's the outside of Wild Bill's CD insert. Quality in, quality out.

The inside panels of Wild Bill's CD -- with a tree background from clip-art we had on file, ghosted back to 30 percent. |

Bill's traycard picture was retouched (just the hair).
On the right is the backprint for the traycard, which shows when the CD is removed. |

This CD label is actually 5-color (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, with a printing white donut behind the other inks). Good picture selection on Bill's part, since this picture works with a center hole in it.

Finally, cassettes need "a/b" labels to apply or print on the cassette. These are almost always a solid color. |
